Dur Hospitality recently signed a cooperative agreement with the Saudi food Bank at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Riyadh.
In Line with Dur Hospitality’s social responsibility, this agreement revolves around saving food leftovers and distributing the excess to the needy, while complying with the quality and international food safety standards. Sultan Al-Otaibi VP Property & Asset at Dur Hospitality, Vice President of property and assets at Dur Hospitality, said: "This initiative comes in line with the company's vision of achieving the concept of social solidarity as per our religious beliefs and teachings that recognizes the importance of food conservation, and provision of meals to the needy, especially that a reasonable proportion of the food is left at our hotels’ restaurants and weddings halls that need to be conserved rather than wasted".
He also added that the company is keen to pursue this initiate that creates awareness on how to properly handle this blessing, make the best use of it, and dispose of it in a more useful way.
The next step will hopefully be the expansion of this program, to cover many hotels and restaurants of the company in different regions of the Kingdom.
