Crowne Plaza Riyadh Palace Hotel, recently launched by InterContinental Hotels Group in partnership with Dur Hospitality, won a gold medal at the biggest international food, beverage and hospitality exhibition in Saudi Arabia “HORECA 2018”.
Chef Ghada Hamdan won the gold medal during her participation in the “Cuisine” competition, which was held within the exhibition.
In this regard, Mr. Hassan Ahdab, Hotel Operations President at Dur Hospitality, said, “Crowne Plaza Riyadh Palace Hotel’s winning of the gold medal is a remarkable success added to the company's hotel record of achievement”.

Mr. Ahdab expressed his pride in this award, which reflects Dur's excellence throughout the years in the hotel and hospitality sectors, noting the importance of the exhibition as one of the leading exhibitions of hospitality, food industry and hotel facilities in the Middle East.
Crowne Plaza Riyadh Palace Hotel offers a diverse range of dishes to suit all tastes. It hosts a Chinese Night every Tuesday, Indian Night every Wednesday, Seafood dishes every Monday and Barbeque Night every Friday.
Last June, Riyadh Palace Hotel was transformed to Crowne Plaza Riyadh Palace Hotel, under a franchise agreement between IHG and Dur Hospitality. It is strategically located in the ministries’ district, near several government departments, banks, and hospitals in Riyadh. It features 304 rooms with a total area of over 1,400 square meters, in addition to a business center. It also offers a variety of authentic Arabian and Saudi cuisines as well as contemporary international cuisines.
Saudi HORECA 2018, organized by the Saudi event management and marketing company “SEMARK”, at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27 to 29 November 2018, is one of the largest annual hospitality exhibitions in the GCC. More than 250 local and international companies are participating in the exhibition. Salon Culinary competition, where chefs compete for advanced job opportunities, was held on the side-lines of the exhibition.
